Job Purpose

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions to empower its customers, enabling them to achieve greater strength and success. Within the Data Analytics and AI team, we collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage the power of Data, Machine Learning, and AI, aiming to enhance business outcomes and foster innovation. Seeking a Experienced Artificial Intelligence AVP who possesses a deep understanding of business challenges and can offer innovative solutions utilizing advanced AI technologies such as deep learning, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), computer vision, chatbots, voice recognition, and robotics. In this role, you will join a multidisciplinary team shaping our AI strategy and demonstrating its potential across various business divisions.

Key Accountabilities

• Work with senior leadership to shape the vision and strategic plans for AI / Advanced Analytics in FAB
• Lead AI/Advanced Analytics technology roadmaps, innovations, and pilot and implement these solutions to realize business value for stakeholders.
• Be an evangelist of cutting-edge Automation, AI/ML, and other technologies to showcase and socialize the new capabilities across FAB, applying innovative thinking to the toughest business problems.
• Work on Strategic Planning & Execution
• Manage and deliver investment and Benefits tracking for AI
• Employ design thinking and agile methodologies to experiment, pilot, and deploy solutions including fast-fail, and scaled deployments
• Facilitate & Chair Transformation Meetings with Business & Leadership
• Manage an organization of managers and individual contributors. Help the team develop their career path and development plans that fit their career goals. Also develop deep bench of technical expertise within the team that is not only meeting the current project requirements but also well positioned to evolve for future technology trends/needs
• Build and maintain a collaborative external network to drive the continued evolution of FAB’s Conversational & Generative AI competencies through learning and partnerships.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver AI solutions effectively
• Service Management: Oversee the overall service management of productionized AI applications
• Pilots AI models and prototype applications; evaluates whether business challenges are addressed.

• PHD/ master’s degree in computer science or electronic/computer engineering discipline
• 10+ years of experience with Machine Learning/ Building AI products
• A track record of leading the design and execution of production-level machine learning systems
• Experience influencing and shaping team’s technical roadmap through close collaboration with stakeholders and driving execution.
• Experience with Large Language Models
• Experience programming with PyTorch in a production environment, ML, deep learning, TensorFlow, Python, NLP, and familiarity with basic algorithms, object-oriented, and functional design principles.
• Mentorship: Passion for mentorship, coaching, and developing technical leadership across organizations.
• Innovation Management: Track record of managing innovation, applying creative solutions to business problems, and anticipating needs to find flexible answers.
• Project Management: Experience in leading and delivering data-related projects with familiarity with best practice project management methods, tools, and techniques
• Industry Experience: Extensive experience in Real world AI projects, Data Science, machine learning and simulation techniques.
