Quantity Surveyor

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The Quantity Surveyor will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective management of construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a solid understanding of engineering and construction principles.
Responsibilities:
+ Estimate material quantities, costs, Labour and time with a focus on Civil Works.
+ Prepare tender and contract documents – this will include bills of quantities with the client and Contractor.
+ Quantify and value completed works and arranging basic understanding of plant, equipment, and materials used in construction.
+ Demonstrate proficiency in construction and contract law, as well as familiarity with various Conditions of Contract.
+ Acquire knowledge of specific construction techniques relevant to assigned projects.
+ Demonstrate expertise in construction and contract law, along with familiarity with various Conditions of Contract.
+ Generate cash flow forecasts as part of project planning.
+ Conduct estimating and cost planning activities.
+ Provide reports to the senior quantity surveyor as required.
+ Aid in the preparation of estimates and cost plans.
+ Support in preparing advice on contract procurement processes.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
+ Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on active listening and client interaction.
+ Strong mathematical abilities for accurate calculations of material quantities and construction costs.
+ Customer service-oriented mindset with a commitment to ensuring client satisfaction.
+ Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address project challenges effectively.
+ Comprehensive understanding of engineering science, construction principles, and technology.
+ Familiarity with current building codes, health, and safety regulations.
+ Proficiency in computer literacy and confidence in using office and electronic project management programs.
