Seating Technician

Our client is the largest US-based supplier of aerospace and defense products with operations across the MENA region. They are looking for a Seating Technician in Dubai. This is a 24-month contract. 

Responsibilities:

• Undertake both major and minor assembly, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, testing, and disposition of various components and accessories found in premium seating and cabin interiors.
• Perform upholstery bonding on seating components.
• Interpret technical drawings and data to ensure work is carried out in accordance with specifications.
• Complete work packs and documentation accurately.
• Maintain a keen focus on detail to meet customer cosmetic standards.
• Adhere to quality procedures and standards.
• Abide by all company rules and regulations, including those related to Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance, and Human Resources.
• Fulfill assigned tasks within the scope and skill level of the role, supporting departmental objectives and individual skill development.
• Provide progress reports and updates to lead or supervisor, including any issues related to quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in working with upholstery and laminates.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in seating.
• Ability to use computer systems (e.g., MS Office) for data input and retrieval.
• Availability for overtime, including extended workdays and weekends.
• Skill in interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Working Conditions:

• Work is conducted 100% of the time on the production floor, occasionally with loud noise requiring safety glasses.
• Regular exposure to adhesive and solvent vapors.
• Frequent pushing and pulling of materials.
• Ability to frequently reach, step, bend, stoop, and twist.
• Lifting materials weighing up to 24 pounds.
• May involve working at floor level.
