WELDING SUPERVISOR

Welding Supervisor for Workshop.

• Supervise all welding and fabrication activities in the workshop, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
• Plan, allocate, and monitor daily work assignments for welders, fabricators, and helpers.
• Ensure compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), drawings, and project specifications.
• Inspect weld preparations, fit-up, welding operations, and completed welds to ensure conformance with quality requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Production, and Maintenance teams to achieve production schedules and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and calibration of welding machines, tools, and consumables.
• Enforce HSE policies, conduct toolbox talks, and promote a safe working environment within the workshop.
• Monitor productivity, material usage, and welding consumable consumption to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of work progress, manpower utilization, welding activities, and equipment status.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate welding personnel to enhance skills, quality awareness, and operational performance.
• Coordinate with NDT inspectors and support corrective actions for welding defects or non-conformities.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained and workshop activities comply with NMDC procedures and applicable industry codes and standards.

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering

5-10 years' experience at Welding workshop in heavy engineering industry
