About the role
- The internal auditor will be responsible to perform all duties mandated by the regulator and will implement a comprehensive audit plan throughout the company
- The internal auditor should understand the CBB rulebook, SAMA OB Framework, & the DFSA rulebook.
- The internal auditor should pass all the fit and proper requirements from the CBB & DFSA to become the approved person for this role.
- The internal auditor will be independent from all functions as mandated by the regulators, it must be reporting to the CEO with direct reporting line to the Board
What you’ll be working on...
- Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
- Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans.
- Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, etc.
- Prepare and present reports that reflect audit results and document process.
- Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality, and control achievement.
- Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
- Maintain open communication with management and Board,
- Document process and prepare audit findings memorandum,
- Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions.
- Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.
For this role you will need...
- Proven working experience as Internal Auditor
- Proven experience for auditing IT, Cyber Security, Tech departments is a must.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases
- Ability to work with large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Sound independent judgement
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional qualification as a Certified Internal Auditor by Institute of Internal Auditors or equivalent.
