Job Description

Mason


As Mason your responsibilities include repairing and installing structures, such as floors, walls, and ceilings, using various materials. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of construction techniques, safety protocols, and tools. Attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to interpret blueprints are essential. Minimum 2 years of experience in masonry work is required. A trade license or certification is preferred. Key Responsibilities:


  • Attend morning briefings: Stay updated on tasks and instructions.
  • Perform minor repairs: Address defects like floor grouting issues promptly.
  • Handle various maintenance tasks: Including plumbing, painting, sanding, etc.
  • Follow up on major preventive maintenance: Ensure timely completion and maintain stock of necessary materials.
  • Keep detailed records: Log all maintenance activities and materials used.
  • Be on standby for emergencies: Respond to after-hours emergency calls as needed.
  • Prioritize safety: Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness: Keep work areas and surroundings clean and organized.
  • Report major issues promptly: Inform supervisors about significant maintenance concerns.
  • Adhere to duty schedule: Attend all duties on time and update records accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience: Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a five-star hotel or similar organization.


  • Interpersonal communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally with team members and other departments.


  • Required trade license or certification: Possession of necessary licenses or certifications relevant to the engineering field.


  • Previous experience is an asset: Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous, though not mandatory.
