How Satisfied Are MENA Employees With Their Current Salaries and Benefits?

 

How satisfied are MENA employees with their current salaries and benefits? To what extent is employee loyalty directly linked to the salary received? What are the various benefits MENA companies provide? What about the preferred pay structure? 

Bayt.com surveyed thousands of professionals across the region to understand the general satisfaction levels in regards to salaries, pay raises, and the various benefits that make up a compensation package.

 

Key findings:

  • 45% of respondents state that their current salary package consists of basic salary and benefits.
  • More than half of all respondents (58%) prefer a 100% fixed pay structure.
  • 38% stated that they receive personal medical insurance.  
  • Apart from salary, the nature of daily responsibilities (31%), opportunities for career advancement (29%), and training and development opportunities (28%) also drive loyalty.
  • 49% of respondents still manage to save a portion of their monthly income. 

 

Data for the 2020 Middle East and North Africa Salary survey was collected online from 8th March to 18th May, 2020. Results are based on a sample of 3,497 respondents from the following countries: UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, and Pakistan.
