Responsibilities:
  • Direct work scope (as provided by Vale)
  • Review JHA’s (job hazard analysis) with contractor crews
  • Ensure work scope is complying with timeline and work standards of Vale 
  • Ensure adherence to Vale safety policies and standards
  • Incident investigation if required. Initiation and participation
  • Completion of work permits: confined space / working at heights / hot work, open hole
  • Work completion updates, daily – confirmation per work order
  • Identification and reporting of found work scope

Expected:


  • Previous Vale Maintenance Experience (10+ Years)
  • Supervisor Experience 
  • Red Seal Certification 
  • NL Confined Space training 
  • NL Fall Arrest
  • NL Emergency First Aid
  • Currently authorized to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
  • Will need to pass a site specific drug and alcohol test and medical 
  • Will have to provide a clear record of conduct
