    Purpose :  To provide vision, leadership, general management and operational oversight for APC’s Technical Support activities in order to increase APC’s production efficiency, reduce costs and enhance products’, field service, and application engineering quality within APC’s strategic objectives, and adopted policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities : Technical Management :  Collaborates with technical staff, department managers and APC executive management to develop and implement current, annual and long-term technical, schedule, quality, business and financial objectives. Assists sales in bid preparation and engages customers for input on product or service design. Provides technical support and application specific support to both operations and sales Acts as a liaison between these groups on issues affecting the sale, installation, or use of APC products and services. Troubleshoots specific well-site issues for operations. Assists in the launch of new products and services, championing design improvements and administering and auditing key technical processes Publishes technical reports for internal and external use within industry Handles special projects, as assigned. Sustaining Management Manage a team of Sustaining Engineers and supporting staff in carrying out the functions of the Sustaining Engineering department. Direct all activities for engineering project(s) including planning and managing technical performance to ensure quality, business, and financial objectives are attained. Develop and implement current, annual and long-term technical, schedule, quality, business, and financial objectives for the engineering unit(s) and may also participate in the development of Group/Company objectives. Recommend design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, testing, and integration. Interact with all APC R&D departments (Mechanical, Electric, Cable,, Electronic) Interact with management and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements and contractual clarification. Act as primary contact for engineering activities. Contribute to the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract(s). Ensure technical leadership and excellence is maintained by directing and participating in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of the required management, professional, and technical talent. Lead progress review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Identify engineering issues and provide leadership in developing solutions such as re-allocation of resources or modifying contract specifications. Participate in the development of new business opportunities and expansion of existing business opportunities. Participate with Group management in pursuing business partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures that enhance the capabilities of the Group/Company. Oversee the development of and ensure the security of the unit's proprietary technology, and maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.  Quality Management Develops and implements APC's Quality program and policies. Ensures that quality control inspections, tests, root cause analysis and corrective procedures are coordinated throughout the organization. Responsible for all phases of product reliability engineering including helping definition of the initial and final product. Develops reliability risk and qualification plans. Devises test methods and reliability test procedures. Develops procedures for internal equipment testing which conform to industry standards. Generates costs analyses and prepares business cases for reliability projects. Develops failure analyses and proposes solutions.  Compliance Operations and Reporting Ensure compliance and completeness of requirements in records of In Process Inspection Reports (IPIR) and perform final approval signatory  Budget Participate in Technical Support’s budgeting cycle and provide input to the budgeting process  Safety, Health and Environment Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across activities in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and responsible environmental behaviours  People Management Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent for Technical Support’s team Manage, guide, train, develop and assist direct reports to perform their functional operations in accordance with set policies and procedures
