About Al-Manar Group

The first company of the group was founded in Baghdad in 1970 under the name Al-Manar Al-Arabia for the Engineering and Trade using the abbreviated trade name “Al-Manar Engineering”. Its activities involved contracting (supply, installation and maintenance) and the representation of various prominent manufacturers of Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical and Civil engineering equipment and materials. We participated in the supply and building of Telecommunication Networks, Earth Satellite and Broadcasting Stations, Power Generation and Transmission projects, Didactical Systems and Laboratory Equipment, Audio Visual Systems and Materials, and in other advanced technology fields in Iraq. In the educational and science fields, Al-Manar Engineering has supplied laboratories and didactical equipment since 1971 to various institutions in Iraq. In 2000 our head offices were transferred to Jordan from where our sister company “Al-Manar Laboratory Supplies Ltd.” is now actively operating at Zarqa Free Zone. In 2003 we re-activated our Baghdad base through our sister companies “Al-Manar Engineering Services Ltd.”, Al-Manar Telecommunications Services Ltd.” and “Al-Manar World Commercial Agencies Ltd.”.
