It is the first and only hospital in Bahrain that availed the JointCommission International accreditation (JCI) since 2011. BSH is recognized as a Hypertension Excellence Centre by the European Society of Hypertension since 2014, and received recognition as a Centre of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynaecology by the American Association of Gynaecology Laparoscopists (AAGL) since the year 2014 and Surgical Review Corporation (SRC). In addition, BSH is the only accredited American Association of continuous medical education AACME providing center in the county. BSH is certified as an International Training Center for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation by the American Heart Association and the only private healthcare facility that was inaugurated by HM King Hamad Bin Salman Al Khalifa, the ruler of Bahrain.
