In a very bold move back in 1997, a first media representation office was launched in Kuwait against all odds. Back then the magazine market, locally, was only 1% of the total advertising scene. Today, it has reached around 14% where Media Box controls around half of the market. In the year 2000, a normal strategic step took Media Box into the publishing side with the acquisition of TV Guide. This publishing house has become the biggest private and independent publishing house in Kuwait specialized in the magazine industry.
