About us

The Saudi Credit Information Company (or Saudi Credit Bureau) is a national institution offering consumer credit information services to respective members in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The company was established by the ten commercial banks operating in Saudi Arabia within the context of the current banking act and regulations issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA). The objective of the Credit Bureau is to help credit providers make improved lending decisions quickly and more objectively. To achieve this, the Credit Bureau aggregates credit related information among participating members to provide the credit providers with a more complete risk profile of the customer. Participating members disclose credit related information to and obtain information from the Bureau to assess the credit worthiness of their existing and prospective customers, which enhances the credit providers risk assessment capabilities to determine whether or not the customer is likely to repay. More importantly the Credit Bureau operations will facilitate higher levels of transparency in the consumer credit market and provide customers with good credit history with better leverage in how they obtain credit.
