    Job Description

    A multnational pharmacuetical and OTC leader is seeking a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for the North African region for their OTC products. This is an exciting time for the ever expanding business unit.You will be responsible for developing and growing the business in the North Africa region through the development and implementation of sound business strategies and plans that meets both consumers and customers needs.- Ensure robust and joint business planning with the distributorpartner and robust execution of the sales and marketing plans.Major Activities ,br>1. Develop sales and marketing expenses budgets and participate in annual and long term development of marketing strategies for new or existing products.2. Works closely with the distributor to achieve agreed target sales by developing strategic business plans and ensuring flawless execution of agreed marketing programs, sales execution, training of distributor sales teams and ensuring high levels of distributor service to customers through optimizing distributor inventory levels. 3. Monitor andor manage AR from distributors, marketing expenses, product complaints and distributor inventory.4. Implementation of marketing, sales and professional programs via the distributors which may include the following.a. All direct to consumer communication including direct advertising and through-the-practice advertisingb. Trade programs covering point-of-sales materials, sales aid and trial kitsc. Sales planning and executiond. Profession, clinical and practice management programse. Continuing professional educational programs5. Maintains current understanding of key market place information including consumer and customer insights, business practices, competition and new technological developments. Participate in external market related activities such as customer contact, focus groups and professional meetings.6. Ensure accurate, realistic and timely submission of distributor ROFO (rolling forecast) that are in line with agreed marketing programs, market place requirements. 7. Submission of monthly sales report, quarterly forecasts and periodic business review presentations.8. Develop and implement product launches with distributors in line with company strategic goals.9. Influence and coach the distributor in terms of adopting world-class practice and standard in sales management, sales training, merchandising, etc.10. Work with distributors to achieve high levels of operational efficiency and effectiveness by implementing world class operational processes and infrastructure.


    To be considered for this position you must have the following-Business management or marketing degree.-Languages English, Arabic and French.-- 6-8 years in progressive sales and marketing experience preferably in similar industry or consumer goods. Within this 6-8 years experience, at least 2-3 years working with a distributor (preferable). Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Morocco are the main markets Experience in these markets (or at least one) preferable. There is a high expectation of an overall knowledge and understanding of the region. Willingness to travel. Strong professional and personal impact and influence. Strong Ethical standard. Strong operationally, hand-on, numeric.
