Responsibilities:
1. Establish clear strategies, develop action plans, and set goals and priorities to
engage students and alumni and strengthen their connection to the university.
2. Provide different plans and strategies for students from enrollment until
graduation to ensure their skills are aligned with the job market.
3. Regularly update records for each program required skills set and
undergraduate extra-curricular training based on intelligence and HR research
and input.
4. Conduct career assessments and assist students in exploring career options.
5. Provide one-on-one career counseling to students and alumni.
6. Conduct workshops and seminars on topics such as resume writing, job search
strategies, and interviewing skills.
7. Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate career development into the
curriculum.
8. Build and maintain relationships with employers to facilitate internships for
students and job opportunities for alumni.
9. Plan and coordinate alumni events, reunions, job fairs, and networking
opportunities both on and off campus.
10.Assists students in their personal employment development by providing job
information and job search strategies to meet their goals and opportunities for
experiential learning.
11.Include placement and internship opportunities, alongside access and support
into graduate-level schemes and careers.
12.Develop professional networks of alumni aligned to strategically important
industry sectors and international markets for the university’s future
development and the careers of graduates and alumni.
13.Communicate regularly with alumni through newsletters, social media, and
other channels to keep them informed about university news and events.
14.Coordinate volunteer opportunities for alumni to contribute their time and
expertise to the university.
15.Collaborate with other university departments and faculty members to support
alumni involvement in student recruitment, career services, and other
initiatives.
16.Coordinate with external training providers and educational institutions.
17.Maintain accurate records of alumni contact information and engagement
activities.
18.Manage the alumni relations budget and provide regular reports on activities
and outcomes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Business Administration, or related field
• 8-15 years of experience in career development/human resources management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in event planning and project management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database management.
