We are looking for an experienced Data Platform Engineer (Cloudera Administrator) to manage, optimize, and maintain our enterprise data platform infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and administering Cloudera environments, ensuring platform scalability, high availability, security, and performance while supporting business-critical data workloads.
Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain Cloudera (CDH/CDP) infrastructure to support enterprise data storage, processing, and analytics.
Install, configure, administer, and monitor Cloudera Hadoop clusters using Cloudera Manager .
Manage Hadoop ecosystem components including HDFS, YARN, Hive, Impala, HBase, Spark, and Kafka .
Perform cluster upgrades, patch management, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
Implement automation and support CI/CD pipelines to improve operational efficiency.
Monitor platform health and performance using tools such as Dynatrace and Grafana .
Ensure platform scalability, high availability, and resource optimization.
Implement security best practices including Kerberos, Ranger, and Sentry .
Manage backup, disaster recovery, and data replication strategies.
Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, IT teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the platform meets business and technical requirements.
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
3–5 years of hands-on experience in Cloudera Administration or Data Platform Engineering.
Strong experience with Cloudera CDH/CDP administration and Hadoop ecosystem technologies.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
Experience with Apache Kafka , streaming platforms, and distributed data systems.
Strong knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Grafana .
Experience implementing CI/CD automation and infrastructure best practices.
Strong understanding of system performance optimization, scalability, security, backup, and disaster recovery.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
