Position Title: Financial Controller
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Business Controller, you will be responsible for driving the financial controlling activities of the Gas Services business. Acting as the custodian of financial data, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of financial reporting while supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.
You will work closely with sales, execution, and management teams to deliver financial insights, coordinate budgeting and forecasting activities, monitor business performance, and support continuous process improvement. Your role will be essential in ensuring financial discipline, operational efficiency, and sustainable business growth.
How You'll Make an Impact
• Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of all financial planning activities
• Coordinate and support budget and forecast processes across Hub and Country organizations
• Analyze actual financial performance against forecasts and identify key variances across business areas
• Prepare and present variance analyses for product lines and business segments to management and controlling teams
• Review monthly financial results and SAP reports, developing dashboards and management reports for decision-making purposes
• Monitor and control cost center expenditures, ensuring financial discipline and cost transparency
• Perform periodic balance sheet reviews and ensure account balances are accurate, current, and justified
• Ensure accurate reporting of headcount, cost center structures, revenue, margins, and costs
• Collaborate closely with sales teams to understand order pipelines and improve forecast accuracy
• Support forecasting activities for sales, gross margin, cash flow, and overall business performance
• Drive continuous process improvements to enhance productivity, profitability, and operational efficiency
• Work closely with technical and commercial execution teams to identify risks and ensure they are reflected in forecasts
• Facilitate internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with accounting and reporting requirements
• Contribute to lessons learned initiatives and support ongoing business improvement efforts
What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5-8 years of experience in Financial Controlling, Business Controlling, or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP
• Strong understanding of accounting and reporting standards, including IFRS and US GAAP
• Extensive experience analyzing financial statements, including P&L, Free Cash Flow (FCF), and Net Current Assets (NCE)
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial performance reporting
• Strong understanding of financial models and calculation methodologies
• Experience supporting operational and commercial teams within complex business environments
