Full-Stack Developer Intern – React & Node.js

PentaValue is a mobile and web applications company based in Cairo, Egypt. We design and develop digital solutions that help businesses deliver reliable and user-friendly experiences.

We are offering a structured internship for fresh graduates who already have basic hands-on full-stack development experience and want to strengthen their React and Node.js skills in a professional environment.

Job Description

This is a three-month, unpaid Full-Stack Development Internship focused on React and Node.js.

The program is designed for fresh graduates with up to six months of internship, freelance, training, or project-based experience. It is not intended for complete beginners, as applicants should already understand the fundamentals of full-stack development and have completed at least one React and Node.js project.

During the internship, you will work on supervised development tasks, receive mentoring and code-review feedback, and gain practical exposure to professional development tools and workflows.

What You Will Do

- Develop simple and reusable front-end components using React.
- Assist in developing back-end functionality using Node.js and Express.js.
- Build and integrate basic REST APIs under technical supervision.
- Connect React components with back-end services.
- Perform basic operations using SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Write clear, organized, and maintainable JavaScript code.
- Identify and assist in resolving basic full-stack issues.
- Use Git and follow the team’s version-control workflow.
- Assist in writing basic unit or integration tests.
- Participate in code reviews and apply technical feedback.
- Document implemented features and APIs.
- Complete assigned technical and learning tasks.
- Communicate progress, questions, and technical challenges to your mentor.
- Participate in technical discussions and learning sessions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Fresh graduate with up to six months of practical full-stack development experience gained through internships, freelance work, training, or personal and academic projects.
- Basic practical knowledge of JavaScript and ES6+.
- Hands-on familiarity with React, including:
  - Components, props, and state.
  - React Hooks.
  - Routing and form handling.
  - REST API integration.
- Hands-on familiarity with Node.js and Express.js, including:
  - Creating basic REST APIs.
  - Request and response handling.
  - Basic middleware.
  - Data validation and error handling.
- Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.
- Familiarity with either SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with basic Git operations.
- At least one completed full-stack project using React and Node.js.
- A GitHub, GitLab, or similar source-code repository demonstrating previous work.

Preferred Qualifications

- Basic familiarity with authentication and authorization concepts.
- Exposure to unit or integration testing.
- Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, or a similar collabora

• Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Familiarity with either SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with basic Git operations.
• At least one completed full-stack project using React and Node.js.
• A GitHub, GitLab, or similar repository demonstrating previous work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic familiarity with authentication and authorization.
• Exposure to unit or integration testing.
• Basic understanding of software security and performance practice
