What you will do
As a Global Tax and Statutory lead/ Manager you will build & manage the international tax & Statutory function at Noon Academy for 6+ countries across MENA, South Asia & UK, in order to achieve the maximum tax efficiency at group level and prevent any risks or non-compliance with applicable tax laws or regulations.
Responsibilities
• Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within required timeframe.
• Build relationships and interact with tax authorities & tax advisory firms to provide innovative tax planning & consulting for all countries.
• Preparation and submission of monthly & quarterly tax returns for VAT, withholding, payroll tax, ...etc.
• Preparation & delivery of transfer pricing studies & intercompany agreements between all countries (subsidiaries) to achieve tax efficiency at a group level.
• Review all company agreements & contracts and provide advice from tax & compliance perspective.
• Represent the company in all tax inspections/audits with tax authorities:
• Maintain accurate tax balances & provisions on General Ledger.
• Assist & advise in building Noon's internal finance policies in compliance with tax accounting, audit & IFRS standards.
• Act as the focal point & communication channel between Finance team and tax consultant, external auditor & legal Dept.
About you
Requirements
• 5 to 7 years of experience in international tax, Statutory & compliance with strong focus on VAT, withholding, corporate tax, transfer pricing & related party transactions. • MENA & GCC Experience with exposure to complex tax situations. Tech/eCommerce experience will be an advantage.
• External Audit, Internal control & financial reporting background will be value added.
• Experience in preparing separated & consolidated financial statements as per local
GAAP & IFRS
• Analytical mindset, strong leadership, independent & willing to build things from scratch.
• Excellent communication skills - English is the main communication language.
• Proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint. ERP experience will be an advantage.
