Job Description

As a Lead Agent – Ocean Export, you will support the Supervisor and Manager in running daily operations, ensuring the smooth and timely movement of freight while delivering excellent customer service.


You will also play a key role in guiding the team, driving efficiency, and maintaining strong relationships with customers.


Operations


  • Ensure smooth and timely processing of ocean export shipments
  • Prepare and verify export documentation
  • Manage accurate data entry, billing, and job costing
  • Coordinate shipments with customers and meet service expectations
  • Monitor shipments to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Follow customer SOPs and company procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency

Team & Performance


  • Support workload distribution within the team
  • Monitor workboards and ensure KPIs are met
  • Guide and mentor team members
  • Promote a positive and collaborative team environment
  • Drive adoption of tools and process improvements

Customer & Business Support


  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Support pricing requests in line with customer needs and market conditions
  • Contribute to customer retention and CRM updates
  • Monitor invoicing and ensure accuracy
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Ocean Export or freight forwarding
  • Good understanding of export operations and documentation
  • Knowledge of Expeditors systems, products, and processes
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Good communication skills in English (written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to support and guide team members
  • Preferred: Hazardous Materials certification
