Marketing Communications Lead

Who we are:

Shift EV is a fast-growing electric vehicle technology company, based in Cairo, Egypt. Our vision is to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in Egypt and the region by developing state-of-the-art electric drivetrain solutions. You will work with world-class technology veterans from MIT, the University of Grenoble, Intel, and Corning to build a venture with transformative potential.

You’ll work on: 

Shaping and driving the execution of our marketing plans with the goal of strengthening our brand, scaling our engagement and accelerating our sales. 

• Social Media: Own the day-to-day execution of our social media marketing, working closely with our social media agency and marketing leadership, to drive engagement and lead generation. 

  
  

• Lead Generation: Build and own the lead generation engine to provide sales with qualified prospects through multiple channels. 

  
  

• Market Research: Support the sales team in understanding market trends and identifying new opportunities. 

  
  

• Events: Drive the planning and execution of internal and external events, working closely with our internal events team as well as customers, external vendors and consultants. 

  
  

• BTL: Manage the execution of giveaways, employee kits and other marketing materials with our vendors. 

  
  

• General Marketing: Support the marketing leadership in the selection, negotiation and onboarding of external vendors to support our events, PR and marketing execution. 

  
  

• Product Marketing: Work with the product team on delivering high quality collateral for new products. 

  
  

• An experienced marketing professional with 3-5 years of experience in the marketing field. 

  
  

• A track record of strong operational excellence in a startup or corporate environment

  
  

• An excellent communicator who is able to work with different styles of people and influence different stakeholders

  
  

• High integrity.  

  
  

• Deeply passionate about climate change mitigation, with a passion for electric vehicles. 

  
  

• A resourceful problem solver with a track record of working on entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial projects.

  
  

• You have a lot of grit and agility to work with ambiguity and uncertainty.
