Position Description:
The German University in Cairo is looking for highly able and motivated applicants wishing to join the Media Engineering and Technology faculty. Successful candidates will be responsible for the fundamental education in the area of mobile and embedded systems. This area includes courses in electronic circuit design, digital logic design and analysis, digital signal processing, embedded systems (including real-time and networked embedded systems) architecture and programming, practical tools such as VHDL, Verilog, and FPGA, software and hardware verification, robust system design, and control theory and systems. Successful candidates will also be responsible for the cooperative participation in courses of the media and advanced media laboratory of the Bachelor and Master programs. In research, areas include Internet of Things, ubiquitous and pervasive systems, robotics, etc.
Qualifications:
Candidates should hold a doctorate/PhD in related areas and should demonstrate a track record or potential for conducting and supervising leading research projects.
