Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled RAN Engineer with deep expertise in Nokia hardware and software solutions. you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of the Radio Access Network, including commissioning, integration, optimization, and high-level troubleshooting of 4G/5G Nokia technologies. With 5–8 years of experience, you will also serve as a technical mentor and a point of escalation for complex network issues.




Responsibilities



  • Commissioning & Integration: Lead the deployment of Nokia AirScale, Flexi Multiradio, and Small Cell solutions.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to improve network throughput, accessibility, and retainability using Nokia NetAct and EdenNet.
  • Troubleshooting: Perform deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on chronic site issues, hardware failures, and software bugs.
  • Upgrades & Migration: Execute and oversee software loads, hardware expansions, and frequency migrations (e.g., refarming).
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed Method of Procedure (MOP) documents and technical reports for network health audits.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and field technicians.

Qualifications



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science.
  • Experience: 5–8 years in RAN Engineering within a vendor or Tier-1 operator environment.
  • Certifications: Nokia NRS (Network Routing Specialist) or Nokia RAN certifications are a major plus.

Required Skills



  • Vendor Expertise: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience specifically with Nokia RAN equipment.
  • Hardware Knowledge: Expert-level understanding of Nokia AirScale (BBU/RRU), Flexi-zone, and antenna systems.
  • Software & Tools: Proficiency in Nokia NetAct, OSS-RC, M2000, and Nokia-specific CM/PM/FM tools.
  • Technology Mastery: In-depth knowledge of 4G LTE and 5G NR architectures, including Massive MIMO and Beamforming.
  • Testing: Experience with drive test analysis tools (TEMS, Nemo, or Actix) and trace analysis (Wireshark).
