Job Description

As a Retail Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of retail outlets. You will lead a team to ensure exceptional customer service, maximize sales, and maintain high standards of visual merchandising. Your role will involve strategic planning, staff management, inventory control, and fostering a positive work environment.


Key Accountabilities

The position involves:


1.Leadership and Team Management:*


- Provide effective leadership to retail staff, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management.


- Foster a positive and motivating work environment that encourages teamwork, productivity, and excellence in customer service.


- Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.


2.Sales and Customer Service:


- Drive sales performance by setting targets, monitoring sales metrics, and implementing strategies to achieve and exceed sales goals.


- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times, resolving any customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively.


- Train staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement to enhance the shopping experience and increase customer loyalty.


3.Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation:


- Oversee the visual merchandising of products, ensuring that displays are visually appealing, well-maintained, and aligned with brand standards.


- Implement seasonal and promotional displays to highlight key products and drive sales.


- Monitor store cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation to create an inviting shopping environment.


4.Inventory Management:


- Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory and markdowns.


- Conduct regular stock assessments, monitor inventory turnover rates, and coordinate with the purchasing team to replenish stock as needed.


- Implement inventory control procedures to reduce shrinkage and ensure accurate stock records.


5.Operational Efficiency and Compliance:


- Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.


- Monitor store expenses and budget allocation, identifying opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining operational excellence.


- Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, logistics, and finance to coordinate activities and achieve overall business objectives


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience


We Are Looking For:


- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field preferred.


- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the fashion industry.


- Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.


- Solid understanding of retail operations, including sales techniques, inventory management, and visual merchandising.


- Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and implement strategies to drive growth.


- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.


- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and retail management software.


- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
