The AMET Global Engineering Services Team is seeking an experienced Program Manager to join the Launch Team to support the expansion of customer fulfillment, delivery station and sub same day delivery in AMET. The Senior Launch Program Manager is a key player in the end-to-end delivery of the complex challenge of launching fulfillment capacity in the region of Africa, Middle east & Turkey. The role will be driving improvements and standards to enable Amazon buildings to achieve benchmark rates while ramping to meet network capacity. In this role, you will influence a team comprising of General Managers, Senior Operations Managers, Operation Managers, Area Managers, StartUp Project Managers, Process SMEs, Design Engineers, as well as representatives of various key stakeholder teams including Supply Chain & Transportation, Talent Acquisition and many others. This role calls for an individual who is curious to learn, structured, confident and professionally and socially adept to earn credibility and trust with customers and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage the launch and operations readiness to deliver CAPEX projects [$50MM+] within multidisciplinary and multicultural organization for our customer fulfillment operations
• Coordinate vendors and manage contracted resources and oversee hiring activities.
• End-to-end ownership for warehouse project deliverables
• Integrated project scheduling, resource planning, critical path analysis and schedule optimization of all business, technical, fiscal and program activities across multiple projects
• Comfortable in different roles and able to effectively communicate & work with subject matter experts in Construction, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Transportation or Contract law
• Coordinate multiple interdependent material flow and installation schedules of vendors
• Work alongside vendors and procurement departments to manage purchase orders
• Hold regular cadence with internal teams and vendors to plan and track deliverables
• Continuous project status tracking and communication, targeted and timely elevation of potential risks and issues across multiple teams and with project stakeholders
• Working independently and autonomously in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
The role will be based in Cairo, Egypt with up to 50% of time on job travel, either domestically or to other AMET countries.
A day in the life
In cooperation with other GES stakeholders, including but not limited to WWRE & Design, ACES/PE, AR, Ops, and others the team aims to optimize building designs, modules, and processes, in ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and AA experience. They will ensure our future buildings, retrofits and expansions will both attend to the operational excellence requirements and have frugal solutions.
- Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, project management, operations, logistics, supply chain or related field
- 5+ years of experience working in an operations, supply chain, transportation, project management or management consulting role
- PMP certificate, or Master's degree in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources or related field
- French, German, Polish, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish, Chinese (Mandarin), Afrikaans and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications.

- Experience in Amazon or E-commerce launches is a strong plus
