Benchmark is seeking a highly organized and versatile individual to join our team as a Senior Accountant. Benchmark is an Egyptian L.L.C specialized in providing professional and integral financial consultancy to Egyptian and foreign businesses.
Job Responsibilities:
- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
- Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
- Provide input into department’s goal setting process
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Assist in tax planning, preparation, and filing of tax returns. Stay updated with tax regulations and changes, ensuring compliance.
Job requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is typically required.
- From 4 to 5 years of experience as an Accountant
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Odoo and QuickBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
Working Conditions:
- Working Hours: From 9:00 AM till 5:00 PM (Fridays & Saturdays are off)
- Work Location: Almazah, Heliopolis, Cairo
