ADVANCED PROCESS CONTROL ENGINEER

As an Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer, you will apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills, collaborate with global experts, and support our customers in achieving sustainable, reliable, and value-driven operations.


You will be part of our Digital – Life Cycle Offering team, contributing to optimization initiatives and digital solution deployments worldwide.


Your responsibilities


  • Deliver engineering packages on time, within budget, and with high quality for assigned projects
  • Analyze process data to identify optimization opportunities
  • Develop, configure, and deploy APC control strategies
  • Troubleshoot control performance and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate with site teams to ensure measurable value delivery
  • Prepare technical documentation and clearly communicate results
  • Support continuous improvement of APC service offerings
  • Implement digital smart devices such as cameras and sensors
  • Perform troubleshooting and system diagnostics
  • Provide post-commissioning technical support to internal and external stakeholders

What you bring


  • Bachelor’s degree in Control & Automation Engineering, Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in APC, automation, or mineral processing optimization or Process optimization across Copper – Molybdenum and other mineral processing industries,
  • Experience with comminution and/or flotation control systems is an advantage
  • Programming skills and exposure to Model Predictive Control (e.g., Python, KSX) is an advantage, and/or model-less multivariable control technologies is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities
  • Solid understanding of mineral processing fundamentals
  • Ability to interpret process data and KPIs to drive improvements
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to travel and support local and global customer sites
