Job description

Position: Designer – Aero Structures


Location: Chennai


Educational Qualification


  • BE / B.Tech with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Experience must be in detailed design of aerospace structural parts ( Brackets / Clips / standoff / Gussets etc. )

Key Responsibilities


  • Perform detailed design and development of aerospace structural components.
  • Create and modify 3D models ( mostly sheet metal ), assemblies, and 2D drawings in compliance with aerospace standards.
  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability and assembly fit.
  • Support assembly definition, interface management, and configuration control using PLM tools.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including stress, manufacturing, and quality teams.
  • Ensure design compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Technical Skills & Tools


  • PLM Tool: Enovia
  • CAD Tool: CATIA V5 with hands-on experience in:
    • Part Design
    • Sheet Metal Modeling
    • Drafting
    • Functional Tolerancing & Annotation (FTA)
    • Assembly Design
    • Installation Drawings

Preferred Experience


  • Experience in designing one or more of the following aircraft structures will be an advantage:
    • Fuselage structures
    • Electrical Wire harness brackets

Additional Skills


  • Strong understanding of aerospace design best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
