We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of AI - People Risk Lead.


  • HR Risk teams play an important role in ensure all Non-Financial risks are appropriately tracked and mitigated. This includes people risk, third party risk, cyber risk and resilience risk. This involves close partnership with 1LOD and global risk stewards to quantify risk, devise avoidance/mitigation strategy, track against risk appetite and regular refresh and review.
  • HSBC has established a Global Artificial Intelligence Review Committee with responsibilities including considering proposals to use Generative Artificial Intelligence or similar novel AI use cases. People risk emergent from these use cases, that are in various stages of development require active people risk oversight.

Principle Responsibilities: 


  • Ensure AI Use cases are reviewed and the impact on People Risks are appropriately evaluated
  • Overall portfolio of the use cases are maintained
  • Engagement with other risk stewards with HSBC
  • Aligning with the group people risk stewardship leads to ensure AI use cases are adequately governed through the current change oversight frameworks
  • Contribute to creation of risk management framework and appropriate governance through various Risk Forums
  • Review 1LOD activity in risk mitigation
  • Read across of commonly occurring challenges and mitigation to help drive HR strategy around capability
  • Regular review of upcoming laws and regulations that are being formulated across countries to ensure compliance from a people standpoint
  • Engagement with following governance commitees:
  • AI Review Committee (AIRCO)
  • Business line/Regional RCMM
  • Change Oversight forums
  • Group People risk forums
