What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Information Technology team?
We are excited to invite applications to join our Digital Commerce applications group as an automation test engineer supporting B2B, B2B2C, eB2B and DTC or equivalent experience business models.
As eCommerce continues to accelerate, we have a number of exciting projects in the works and are looking for an automation test engineer to join our team and help realize our vision. Our ideal candidate is someone who can try to implement test automation solutions for web and mobile apps. The candidate should be open to use and suggest multiple tools which can make the testing faster & efficient. You are an excellent teammate who coordinates with multiple customers like Product Managers, Developers, DevOps, and QA Team. You are very good at sharing the knowledge with your team members and try to educate different teams with the work you are delivering. You will also be looked upon as someone who proactively picks up new tasks and drives it to completion.
Who are you…
You are a function expert -
- This position is for an Individual contributor who would be responsible for the following
- Develop Test Automation Scripts using tools testim.io or frameworks like selenium,mocha.js
- Work closely with the automation group to automate features for better regression coverage
- Collaborates on the development, optimization and maintenance of automated regression suite using existing test automation tools.
- Collaborate with Dev and functional testing teams to decide the scope of Automation.
- Work closely with the DevOps team to integrate test scripts with the CICD pipeline.
- Provide inputs on different areas where test automation can benefit the test and dev teams.
- Getting aligned with the sprint cycle with execution of smoke, regression and prod test suite within the sprint.
- Suggesting and implementing new tools which can help the QA Team to improve test work.
- Working and maintaining the Test Management Tool Test Suite to make sure the automation test runs are getting recorded.
- Reporting the defects found by test automation to the dev and functional test team.
- Participate in engagements with the product teams to support accessibility improvements.
- Handling and mentoring interns with QA functional and Test Automation Knowledge.
- Attend daily SCRUM meetings, sprint planning meetings, etc
- Develop a performance test plan for the web applications.
- Create performance scripts using JMeter or Load runner.
- Analyze the performance test report and share observations.
- Do different types of performance tests like load, stress, spike and scalability testing.

- Ensure the proper use of information technology project management methodology to comply of information technology governance practices
- Ensure proper documentation of processes, knowledge acquisitions and transfers
- Review program codes and suggest correction in case of any errors
- Conduct performance tuning to improve system performance over multiple business processes

- Collaborate with business and functional teams, develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project
- Work closely with internal team and external partners to ensure new developments align with roadmap and integrate seamlessly with other platform component

- Identify and explore new opportunities to demonstrate new technologies to enhance the Platform
What you’ll need…(Required)
- Minimum 5 years of Testing experience including 3 to 5 years of automation and 2 to 3 years of load testing.
- Experience in:
- Industry standard methodologies in SW testing processes: Unit testing, functional & Integration etc
- Either functional or performance testing and analysis (JMeter, Gatlin, LoadRunner/stormrunner etc.)
- Testing REST APIs using Swagger, postman etc.
- Any testing automation tools - Selenium, Testim.io
- Responsible for test case specification, automation and data generation of the product
- Design and implement functional, performance, scalability, stability, and stress tests
- Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability.
- Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and collaborating with the design team.
- Analyze results, identify functional and performance issues and write clear and detailed bug reports
- Experience working on Agile/SCRUM development teams
- Proficient in programming languages (Javascript)
- Understanding of basic programming concepts like Object oriented programming & Data structures.
- Worked in web or mobile app based projects.
- Knowledge on software quality assurance theories.
- Basic understanding of general system and application architectures such as client/server, service oriented architecture, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, containers and serverless
- Ability to solve and resolve issues independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
What you’ll need…(Preferred):
- Experience on testing commerce platform such as Magento, Salesforce, SAP Commerce Cloud
- ISTQB- International Software Testing Qualifications Board certification is good to have
- Knowledge on Java is good to have.
- Experience of using chrome developer tools and different selectors(XPath or CSS).
