About the Role:


The Assistant Manager – Digital will be responsible for driving digital transformation initiatives across manufacturing functions by designing, developing, and implementing new systems and processes within the ERP environment. The role involves working closely with various departments to understand business needs, streamline operations, improve efficiency, and ensure effective system integration. The ideal candidate should come from an IT background with strong experience in ERP systems, business process automation, and digital solution implementation within a manufacturing setup.


About the Job:


Responsibilities:


  • Analysis and design of Steel and Concrete structures and their foundations.
  • Analyze existing business processes across manufacturing departments and identify areas for improvement through ERP and digital solutions.
  • Design and implement new system workflows and processes in ERP to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Production, Planning, Procurement, Inventory, Quality, Finance, and Stores to understand business requirements.
  • Gather, document, and translate business needs into functional specifications for system enhancements or automation.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams, ERP vendors, and external partners for development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Lead process standardization and ensure alignment of ERP processes with business objectives.
  • Support ERP implementation, customization, upgrades, and integration with other systems where required.
  • Monitor system performance and process effectiveness, and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Provide training and support to end users to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Prepare process documentation, SOPs, user manuals, and functional requirement documents.
  • Ensure data accuracy, process compliance, and governance across digital platforms.
  • Troubleshoot system-related issues and work on resolution in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.

Preferred Technical Skills:


  • Hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as SAP / Oracle / Microsoft Dynamics / Infor / similar ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing modules such as Production, Inventory, Procurement Quality, and Maintenance.
  • Experience in process automation and digital workflow tools

Desired Candidate Profile:


  • 10–15 years of experience in IT / ERP / Digital transformation roles.
  • Strong background in IT with exposure to manufacturing industry processes.
  • Proven experience in creating or improving systems/processes in ERP.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders.
