Job Description

Job Purpose :


This role will provide YOU the opportunity to manage global service requests to oversee and support the process to purchase learning, learning services, and HR services. The role encompasses working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, customers and vendors within Vendor Management scope while adhering to global standards and request management processes.


Key Responsibilities :


  • Assist customers and requesters to ensure they have a positive customer experience.
  • Manage requests ensuring the delivery of high-quality learning/HR services that meet org objectives and customer's expectations for GSK.
  • Evaluate potential vendors based on criteria such as price, quality, reliability, and alignment with the company's values and objectives. They may also negotiate contracts and terms of engagement.
  • Support the development of enriched P2P related Procurement supplier data, linking together master data sources (ERP, ARIBA Sourcing, ARIBA contracts, external tools) with transaction level detail to enable detailed analysis and generate insights.
  • Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors is a core responsibility. Vendor managers communicate regularly with vendors to address concerns, resolve issues, and ensure that the vendor's performance meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Vendor managers closely monitor the performance of vendors to ensure they meet agreed-upon service levels, quality standards, and contractual obligations. This involves setting key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking vendor performance against these metrics.
  • Cost Management: Vendor managers are often responsible for cost management and cost optimization related to vendor contracts. They may negotiate pricing, seek cost-saving opportunities, and ensure that the organization receives value for the services or products provided.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with vendor relationships is critical. Vendor managers assess potential risks related to vendor performance, compliance, data security, and other factors, and they develop strategies to manage and mitigate these risks.
  • Compliance and Legal Considerations: Ensuring that vendor relationships comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Vendor managers work with legal and compliance teams to ensure that contracts and agreements meet legal standards and industry regulations.
  • Partner with the Data & Analytics team to identify and implement areas of improvement to reporting operations and data processes and ensure efficient operations with the offshore service teams.
  • Use SN to resolve problems and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives to enhance the customer experience.

Job-Related Experience :


  • 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of tools e.g., ServiceNow, Ariba, SAP
  • Proven planning and organizational skills and able to multi-task and problem solve
  • Able to prioritize multiple projects whilst ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to develop reports and summarize data to support business requirements. Working knowledge on use of pivot tables within excel.
  • Experience of influencing customers, stakeholders.
  • Experience of working with external service providers/contractors is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, PowerBI)
  • Experience of AAR’s and subsequent implementation.
