Our Technology Centres focus on creating a space where teams can come together to deliver business solutions that save and improve lives. An integral part of our company’s IT operating model, Tech Centres are globally distributed locations where each IT division has employees to enable our digital transformation journey and drive business outcomes. These locations, in addition to the other sites, are essential to supporting our business and strategy.

A focused group of leaders in each Tech Centre helps to ensure we can manage and improve each location, from investing in growth, success, and well-being of our people, to making sure colleagues from each IT division feel a sense of belonging to managing critical emergencies. And together, we must leverage the strength of our team to collaborate globally to optimize connections and share best practices across the Tech Centres.

Role Overview

As an Associate Director, Solution Architecture within the Enterprise IT Legal, Compliance & Security Value Team, you will support the Compliance Product Line, delivering technology solutions for the Ethics & Compliance Office (ECO). In this role, you will serve as the technical and compliance authority, initially focusing on the enterprise-wide Restricted Party Screening (RPS) program. You will be accountable for the end-to-end solution blueprint for RPS architecture/integrations — defining and coordinating solution architectures with delivery teams, ensuring alignment to enterprise standards and constraints, and driving implementation feasibility across integrated systems. This role demands advanced expertise in designing, building, and supporting high-performance, compliant integration architectures across a multi-system landscape. You will drive technical strategy, ensure robust throughput and performance, and act as a key communicator and negotiator with technical stakeholders, proving the value and reliability of the RPS solution. Over time, this role may expand to define solution architectures for additional programs and products across the broader Compliance Product Line and Legal, Compliance & Security IT Value Team. You should be ready to lead with authority, operate with a high degree of independence, and serve as both a strategic architect and hands-on technical leader.

What will you do in this role

· Architect, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and compliant RPS integration solutions, consolidating processes and systems (e.g., SAP, Wall Street Suite, Veeva CRM, etc.) into a unified enterprise platform for the Global Trade Standards & Controls (GTSC) team.

· Lead technical design and implementation of MuleSoft-based integrations, ensuring optimal throughput, reliability, and performance across all integrated enterprise systems.

· Own and enforce architectural standards, ensuring all architectural decisions, integrations, and data flows meet regulatory requirements and internal enterprise standards.

· Oversee and coordinate multiple concurrent integration streams, proactively managing dependencies, risks, and technical challenges.

· Develop and maintain comprehensive program artifacts, including architecture diagrams, integration blueprints, performance benchmarks, and risk registers.

· Conduct technical presentations, demonstrating solution performance, compliance, and business value.

· Support and enhance RPS Dashboards and Portal from a technical architecture perspective, ensuring technical feasibility, compliance, and responsiveness to GTSC team change requests.

· Act as the development lead, helping developers plan work, transforming requirements into implementation strategy, creating technical tickets, and discussing tasks with developers prior to implementation.

· Monitor, analyze, and optimize system throughput and performance, including advising on performance testing strategy, running and monitoring tests, and providing evidence-based recommendations and solutions to stakeholders.

· Manage database architecture activities as needed, including database structure updates and data modification scripts to support integration and solution integrity.

· Investigate support incidents and leverage insights to identify and propose improvements and optimizations that strengthen the robustness of the RPS solution.

· Supervise releases and participate in end-to-end testing sessions to ensure quality and compliance of deployed solutions.

· Manage technology supplier relationships and troubleshoot data quality and integration issues from external providers, navigating both internal and third-party landscapes.

· Drive stakeholder engagement across IT and the Ethics & Compliance Office, set expectations, and resolve conflicts through advanced communication and negotiation skills, managing ambiguity, resistance, and resource constraints.

· Collaborate closely with GTSC, Delivery Managers, Business Analysts, and the Technical Product Manager to ensure seamless program delivery and alignment with business goals and timelines.

· Contribute to broader Compliance Product Line initiatives as the portfolio evolves, defining solution architectures for additional compliance programs and products in partnership with the Ethics & Compliance Office.

· Work within a matrix organizational structure, reporting to both the functional manager and collaborating with the Product Manager. Participate in product planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with both functional and product goals.
