Role Summary:
Primary responsibility is functional testing of the web and mobile SaaS product, executing test cases, validating new features, performing regression testing, API testing, and supporting release quality. This role serves as a foundation for growth into an SDET career path.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Create, maintain, and execute test cases.
• Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Report, track, and verify defects in Jira.
• Participate in sprint testing and release validation.
• Validate business workflows from an end-user perspective.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and QA team members.
• Support quality initiatives and automation adoption.
Required Skills:
• 1–3 years of software testing experience.
• Strong understanding of STLC and QA fundamentals.
• Experience testing web and mobile applications.
• Hands-on API testing experience.
• Familiarity with Jira/Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Basic understanding of programming concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Good to Have:
• Automation exposure (Playwright, Selenium).
• Basic programming knowledge (JavaScript, Java, Python).
• SaaS product experience.
• CI/CD awareness.
• Demonstrated interest in automation testing and quality engineering.
