Role description:


We are now recruiting an experienced leader to fill our current vacancy of an Associate Technical Director (US Environment) to work on our projects the US region from our Design Centers in India.


Role accountabilities:


  • Leadership role reporting to Global Excellence Discipline Director
  • Develop a strong working relationship with key stakeholders/ clients in the US and globally, establish effective channel of communications and actively influence the growth of the GEC team.
  • Perform operational leadership of D&E Environment – US team. 
  • Drive business KPI’s, like growth, billability, utilization, employee engagement, etc. 
  • Actively mentor and coach teams.
  • Actively provide inputs to the management team toward capacity and capability development of the team. 
  • Ensure seamless delivery, implementation of project management responsibilities and quality processes.
  • Lead pursuits/ tenders.
  • Act as a technical expert for complex projects/ provide technical guidance to team.
  • Drive implementation of SOPs, new technical standards, design methodology and software.
  • Understand and promote Health & safety and Wellbeing culture.
  • Provide guidance to the team members to meet the changing technical needs, innovation and growth, adoption of future trends and technologies, driving standardization and automation.
  • Demonstrate appropriate professional standards, recognizing obligations to society, the profession and the environment and exercise responsibilities in an ethical manner. 
  • Implementation of sustainable practices and solutions on projects. 
  • Development and implementations of training plans considering immediate and long-term business needs.
  • Guide regional team/ clients through the technical decision-making process and provide alternative solutions as required.
  • Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
  • Compliance of Arcadis business management system.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • M.E. / M. Tech in Environment or Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
  • 18+ years’ experience.

Required Competencies:


  • Sound international work experience in Design & Engineering, Design & Built projects in the Engineering & Treatment Systems (ETS) sector for the following, but not limited to,
    • Pump and Treat. 
    • Treatment plant
    • Remediation projects that include technologies to that remediate petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, PFAS, and other emerging contaminants.
  • Familiar with international standards and practices.
  • Ability to lead complex projects.
  • Awareness Health & Safety Management. 
  • Awareness and applications of Civil 3D, Revit, BIM and Information management.
  • A strong, self-motivated and assertive person capable of working under pressure.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Flexible to adopt new work /challenge work as per business requirement.
  • Awareness of Sustainability best practices.
  • Good communication skills.
