About the job

Engineering Enablement (EE) at ADI is looking for a motivated and hands-on application administrator who will work as part of a centralized team in supporting, enhancing, and promoting the JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and GitHub applications within ADI. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of these tools, supporting our development teams, and maintaining data integrity. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an interest in problem-solving, a quick understanding of user requirements, and deliver scalable solutions on time. In this role, the candidate will work with ADI’s teams to identify collaboration and information management bottlenecks and develop robust solutions that enhance the management of projects.


Key ResponsibilitiesUser Management and Support:
  • User account management, automation to simplify onboarding inexperienced users, enhanced onboarding experience.
  • Play a key role in user support, addressing user queries within agreed SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and troubleshooting issues promptly.
Configuration and Customization:
  • Customize Jira projects, workflows, and issue types to align with team processes.
  • Manage Bitbucket repositories, ensuring proper naming conventions and organization.
  • Familiarize yourself with GitHub configuration and repository settings.
Security and Permissions:
  • Understand access controls within Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
  • Assign roles and restrict access as needed.
  • Regularly audit permissions and address security vulnerabilities.
Integration and Automation:
  • Explore Atlassian and GitHub integrations to optimize user workflows.
  • Implement automation features to improve overall user experience.
Documentation and Training:
  • Create clear and concise documentation on best practices, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions for users, emphasizing efficient tool usage and established workflows.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience working with the Atlassian and GitHub product suites, with a specific focus on the role of application administrator.
  • Advanced level knowledge in the administration of Jira and Confluence Data Center (project/space configuration, layouts, designs, workflows, issue types, custom fields, boards, permissions, reporting, dashboard, etc.).
  • Advanced level knowledge of using Git as a version control system
  • Experience administering Bitbucket or GitHub from an administration perspective (repos, projects, access controls, performance monitoring, etc.)
  • Experience with debugging application issues e.g., reviewing application log files.
  • Experience with Atlassian plugin management, upgrades, and migrations.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience with Atlassian Cloud.
  • Atlassian certificates (e.g., Jira Administration for Data Center and Server).
  • Experience working with JQL, Java, and Groovy.
  • Experience with other DevOps tools and flows.
  • Experience with the development of API-based integrations.
  • Familiar with plugins like Structure, Advanced Roadmaps (Plans), and PowerBI.
