About the team:

The Managed IT Cloud Security team is responsible for the security posture of our clients in AWS and Azure.  This team is paving the way for the embracement of cloud native technologies.  We are a small energetic team: a speedboat making waves in FIS.
 

This team values hard work, information sharing, and peer development – we enjoy learning together.  We have weekly study sessions around the cloud to support certification efforts.
 

We are also responsible developing new cloud native processes in Azure – specifically using technologies such as Azure Sentinel, Azure Devops, and Automation.
 

We advocate and implement AI based solutions to solve some of the hardest problems in the enterprise.
 

We are a growing team in need of a product owner with agile experience to help with keep us organized: leading agile ceremonies, refining requirements, tracking workload, and designing new products/services.

What you will be doing:

We are a new and growing team.  We are looking for an individual to lead the workload management with agile methodologies.  Additionally, we are looking for someone to act as a product owner for our services and products: someone specifically to understand our deliverables, measure our performance using a ticketing system, and appropriately apply agile methodologies (specifically Kanban and scrum).

Within the role, your key responsibilities will be to:
 

• Work with stakeholders to understand business problem statements and convert them into user stories
• Articulate product vision and user stories in a manner clearly understandable to technical teams
• Manage backlog of user stories
• Gather technical requirements from other teams
• Work closely with the technical team to refine user stories and estimates
• Perform agile ceremonies
• Create reports to track team velocity and forecast completion dates
• Manage client requests/scheduling of adhoc efforts
• Regularly enhance business processes
• Apply Agile methods and processes that encourages frequent inspection and adaption
• Understand product strategy, market, industry and client goals
• Lead planning and review meetings to communicate feedback on development achievements
• Create reports and metrics sourced from a ticketing system (Azure DevOps)
• Perform competitive analysis and assist in research of new technologies

What you bring:

We are looking for a dynamic, creative, hands-on Product innovator with the following attributes:

• Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of related experience
• Experience implementing agile methodologies
• Strong understanding of business analysis, planning, development and management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
• Proficiency in problem solving and time management skills
• Proficiency to operate independently and within a multi-disciplinary team

Added bonus if you have:

• Experience with cloud (Azure Preferred)
• Working knowledge of cyber security
• Power BI experience
