Cloud Engineering Manager (New Health Care Company)

3M is establishing two industry-leading companies, creating value through the spin-off of its Health Care business, while 3M will continue to be a global material science leader, focusing our innovation to win in favorable global megatrends and attractive end markets. This new Health Care Company will be a leading global diversified health technology company with:

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a(n) Cloud Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Build and manage a world-class platform engineering cloud support team.
• Assist in designing and architecting solutions implementing cloud-specific technologies including continuous deployment pipelines.
• Assist in cloud platform engineering roadmaps; integrating the voice of the customers from stakeholders and focus groups.
• Focus team on automating support activities, ensuring security and compliance, and providing reliable, stable, cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Work as a member of an infrastructure platform engineering organization responsible for designing, developing and operating cloud platforms that runs 24x7.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 4 years of IT/Cloud Management experience.  

OR

• High School Diploma/GED from AND (X+4) years of (the same job-related experience) 

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI Cloud solutions.
• Cloud based certifications such as AWS solutions architect certification.
• Five years of experience in infrastructure systems design and engineering (Linux or Windows)
• Proficiency in various programming and scripting languages
• Working knowledge of the TCP/IP networking, load balancing principles, infrastructure management concepts, and common Internet services/protocols such as DNS, LDAP, HTTP.
• Knowledge of modern software configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, Jenkins)
• Experience working Agile methodologies or working as part of an Agile team
• Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards including FedRamp, StateRamp, PCI DSS, SOC-1&2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, ITAR, CJIS and FDA
