Cloud Technical Operations Engineer,Digital Oncology
The Cloud Technical Operations Engineer is responsible for monitoring and supporting cloud applications in the Varian SaaS platform. This role is aconduit between the Customers, the SaaS Enablement team, and product engineering. They will work directly on product configurations and intensively interact with customer technical representatives, product owners, project managers, installation, service, engineers, and clinical services.
To be successful, candidates need to be technical while having relevant people skills to operate in a complex, global environment and in a highly regulated, technical industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
Participate in the management and monitoring of all cloud infrastructure, including on-call coverage for 24/7/365 coverage of the platform
Carry out production deployments, identifying and patching bugs and inefficiencies
Building monitoring and reporting frameworks as well as tools used to streamline and automate tasks throughout the platform lifecycle.
Troubleshooting critical production issues across the platform (AWS, Azure, Windows Server) and applications (Java Tomcat, Python, Perl)
Provide Customer Service including escalated support for problems and issues
Drive cross-functional teaming and collaboration within all business functions
Develop and maintain automation for server and application build, test, and deploy
Setup and monitor Cloud products on Azure using Azure App Insights or Dynatrace
Working closely with external and internal customers to complete the technical tasks for onboarding a customer to the platform
Minimum Requirements:
At least 3 years of relevant experience in a DevOps, TechOps, or Site Reliability Engineering role
You must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, an operations-oriented mindset, and a knack for technical firefighting, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
Technology stack (Must have):-
Cloud Provider – AWS or Azure(Preferred)
Monitoring- Experience with at least one monitoring solution Dynatrace, new relic, Azure app insights
Scripting – Hands-on experience with Python/Powershell
Network- Able to setup VPN connectivity using Azure\AWS solutions
CI\CD Tools – Experience with at least one CI\CD tool from TFS, Azure DevOps, team city & Jenkins
OS Admin – Windows(Preferred) And\Or Linux
Technology stack (Good to have):-
Infra as Code- Experience with at least one ansible/terraform (preferred)/cloud formation
Knowledge of Containerization (Docker & Kubernetes)
Proved track record to plan and manage SaaS cloud-based configuration
Customer-centric focus to build high-level of trust
Ability, competence, and confidence to inspire and lead technical customer onboarding
Ready to fill gaps and reach over when a situation requires

Experience working in the medical device industry
Excellent communicator that can explain complex technical problems competently with clinically oriented managers and customers.
