Job Summary


The Product Analyst supports the Product Champion from a technical perspective by providing technical design and solution options for product development. The Product Analyst uses their technical knowledge and domain experience to translate roadmap requirements into tangible product design elements. The Product analyst tests all product prototypes to ensure they meet usability, customer and roadmap requirements. Post-development, the Product Analyst technically tests and assesses the products adherence to the "job-to-be-done" defined at Product inception.


Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Product Champion to understand and describe the product vision, timeline andcustomer needs.
  • Actas SME supporting the product team and gathers, understands and captures the details of the clients' needs and document the use cases and requirements.
  • Create technical product design options to address roadmap requirements and customer needs.
  • Optimize usability and automation requirements for product development.
  • Interacts daily with engineering to guide them on product functionality developments.
  • Provide Descriptions & Acceptance Criteria for work items for new functionality to be created by engineering teams.
  • Support the product team to prioritize client requirements in sprint planning.
  • Validate geoscientific accuracy of developed solutions.
  • Provides prototype and product commercialization testing to ensure adherence to product specifications.
  • Follow up with the customer to validate bug fixes and requirement implementations.
  • Communicate timelines for product enhancements (bugs, new releases, upgrades etc.) with clients.
  • Assists in writing product documentation and training materials through written contributions, editorial input, and demo videos.
  • Develops product demos & presentations for internal and external sales resources to promote product sales
  • Defines the User-Experience & continually tests product prototypes with customer focus groups to ensure user-alignment.
  • Observe customer use patterns of digital solutions and identify pain points.
  • Works in collaboration with Engineering to oversee overall Product Quality
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in software product development
  • Prior understanding of geology, geophysics, petroleum engineering and related areas is a plus, and will be required learning on the job"
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML and data pipelines is nice to have.
  • Knowledge of subsurface databases, OSDU data platform is a good to have.
