QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep application development expertise: 8+ years of deep tech experience with application development in contemporary backend and frontend languages
- Advanced Proficiency in Programming Languages: demonstrate a strong foundation and experience working with contemporary backend and frontend languages like Java, Node.js, or Python
- Cloud-Native Development Expertise: 4+ years of experience developing cloud-native applications, preferably using a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP); you should have a solid understanding of distributed architecture, microservices principles, APIs, and n-tier architecture
- Experience with Modern Architectures: demonstrate practical experience in designing and implementing solutions utilizing microservices and event-driven architecture
- Containerization Expertise: experience working with container orchestration managers, particularly Kubernetes
- DevOps Adoption: showcase experience implementing Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and proficiency with DevOps methodologies and tooling
- Proven Consulting experience with Technology focus: in addition to the technology experience mentioned earlier, we seek 5+ years of experience, specifically advisory/consulting on core technology areas like technology resiliency, data strategy, and engineering productivity

You will be based in our Bengaluru, Gurugram, or Mumbai office as part of McKinsey Digital. This group combines the best of McKinsey Digital’s capabilities to help our clients use digital technology to transform their businesses.
As part of this group, you’ll join a global team working on everything from IT modernization and strategy to agile, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. You’ll typically work on projects across all industries and functions and will be fully integrated with the rest of our global firm. You’ll also work with colleagues across McKinsey & Company to help our clients deliver breakthrough products, experiences, and businesses on technology and non-technology topics.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will lead teams of 3-5 consultants to bridge the gap between business challenges and technology solutions for our clients. You will leverage your horizontal technology management expertise to assess client needs across various technology domains, identifying the most effective technical approaches to solve their specific problems.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, translating complex technology architectures and decisions into clear, actionable insights tailored to a business audience. This will involve presenting technical roadmaps and recommendations that align with business goals and objectives. You will provide senior-level technical leadership, guiding and mentoring internal teams to ensure sustainable execution. You will champion client success by overseeing the entire solution lifecycle, fostering strong relationships, and exceeding expectations. This includes developing and executing strategic change management plans while mitigating risks, ensuring user buy-in, and continuously measuring impact to maximize client ROI and maintain a competitive advantage. You will shape the future by actively researching emerging technologies, staying ahead of the curve to anticipate client needs, and proactively proposing innovative solutions.
Additionally, you will cultivate a knowledge-sharing culture by mentoring junior consultants and leading internal workshops, fostering continuous learning within the organization. You will leverage a strong understanding of key agile engineering practices to guide teams and contribute to growing and improving internal engineering practices.
