Your Role and Responsibilities

• Participate on a team focused on delivering packages and containers for a large scale software product; learn and understand the technologies involved
• Complete tasks within designated timelines
• Call attention to things that are not delivered
• Coordinate with team leads, program managers, and other engineers to deliver product builds on time
• Work with upstream communities
• Take on new responsibilities as directed by your manager.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Good understanding of Linux operating system
• Ability to learn new programming languages
• Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
• Familiarity with containers technology
• Experience with continuous integration (CI) and delivery (CD)
• Understanding of how open source and free software communities work.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with Python or Go programming languages
• Experience with Linux software packaging
• Experience with Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift
• Experience with development for public cloud services like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Compute Engine (GCE, or Microsoft Azure
