Job Description Summary:

We are establishing a Greenfield manufacturing facility near Ahmedabad in India. This will be the flagship facility in line with Industry 4.0 with state-of-the-art lights-out advanced automation and digitization. This will also provide us with a blueprint for any of the future greenfield and major brownfield expansions. To deliver this, we are hiring a highly competent and motivated Electrical Leader who will lead the electrical team and partner across supply chain and technical functions to turn this vision into reality for the new site near Ahmedabad and set the standard for the future project around the world.

The Electrical Engineer will lead the design, procurement, installation, and start-up of all the Utilities, equipments and electrical scopes across manufacturing, warehousing and utilities. The design will be done in partnership with multi-functional team including global Automation and with global subject matter experts. The role has a shared responsibility of tasks together with production, warehouse & Logistics, QA and auxiliary utilities services etc. to ensure full requirement and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do for Us

• Developing electrical systems by designing and implementing components, systems, and installations.
• Conducting research and studies to ensure design feasibility and system compatibility.
• Designing electrical systems and products, including their testing methods.
• Developing manufacturing processes according to global engineering codes and standards.
• Working to design new ways to use electrical power to develop or improve products.
• Complying with the project specifications and safety standards.
• Coordinating technicians and craftspeople.
• Testing installations and systems and analyzing their data.
• Preparing product documentation, writing reports, and giving presentations.
• Making sure installations and applications are in line with customer needs and safety standards.
• Collaborating with other engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
• Ensuring the project’s goals regarding sustainability and environmentally friendly manufacturing methods are met

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• 10 years’ experience in the field of electricity / automation in a manufacturing facility with experience in design, vendor management, FATs, construction, and startup.
• Proven experience in electrical engineering, particularly in greenfield projects.
• Proficiency in designing, testing, and installing electrical systems.
• Knowledge of local electrical code and standards is needed. In-depth knowledge of electricity, in low voltage, medium voltage and high voltage installations is an added advantage.
• Ensure workplace safety and effective communication of Safety, Health, and Environment to all team members.
• Coordinate with the site Safety Officer on electrical & automation matters relating to safety, electricity distribution, energy conservation, legal compliance, complaints etc.
• Should have brief Knowledge of automation systems in the areas of PLC, SCADA, Batch control, Database and reporting, Historian, ERP integration, Equipment connectivity protocols, EMS, BMS, WMS, Robotics, Drives, Vision systems, Emerging technologies – IOT sensors, edge devices, etc
• Experience in preparing User Requirements Specifications (URS) and FDS (Functional Data sheet).
• Detail oriented, analytical, and creative thinker with passion to improve and digitize work processes.
• Excellent project management, planning and organization skills and ability to work and deliver in changing environments while adhering to specified deadlines.
• Strong influencing, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and get results in a matrixed organization.
