You’ll make a difference by As an Experienced EMC Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our product development lifecycle, ensuring electromagnetic compatibility across various systems. Your main responsibilities will include: EMC Design & Compliance: Enforce and uphold EMC design and manufacturing rules throughout the product lifecycle. Prepare detailed clause-by-clause analyses of customer specifications during the tender phase, including associated cost estimates. Develop comprehensive EMC Transverse Requirements Specifications for projects, identifying EMC requirements and allocating them effectively to sub-systems. Create detailed EMC Control Plans, defining EMC activities, deliverables, design requirements, and test strategies based on project EMC requirements. Conduct thorough design verification, including general architecture, layout of subsystems, electrical interfaces, and HV/MV/LV cabling. EMC Testing & Validation: Prepare precise EMC test specifications (both laboratory and field test plans). Review and verify EMC test specifications and reports provided by subsystem suppliers. Execute EMC tests on test benches and/or on-site, providing accurate and timely associated test reports. Compile comprehensive EMC Compliance Files upon project completion. Problem Solving & Improvement: Diagnose and resolve complex EMC problems encountered during projects. Actively participate in the definition, development, and continuous improvement of EMC guidelines, processes, design rules, reference solutions, and return-on-experience documentation. Contribute to the creation of design review checklists, project document templates, test specifications, and the evaluation of simulation tools and test instrumentation. Propose and lead EMC R&D initiatives to advance our capabilities. Desired Skills: We're looking for a highly motivated individual with a solid foundation in EMC engineering and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field). Specialization or advanced coursework in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC). Mandatory: 4-6 years of professional experience specifically within the EMC domain. Strong understanding of Power electronics, Electrotechnics, and relevant industry applications (e.g., Railways: Rolling Stock, Traction Equipment, Signaling, Communication equipment). In-depth knowledge of sources of electromagnetic disturbances and electromagnetic phenomena. Expertise in EMC design rules and their practical application, including earthing and bonding principles for electrical equipment on trains. Proficiency with relevant EMC standards (e.g., IEC, EN, ISO, FCC, CISPR, MIL-STD), with specific experience in the EN 50121 series (e.g., EN 50121-3-1, EN 50121-3-2) and other rolling stock standards highly preferred. Hands-on experience with EMC testing, including test procedures, test instrumentation, and practical testing methodologies. Familiarity with EMC numerical simulation tools and practices. Demonstrated experience in EMC project management and coordination. Advanced level of English (conversational, writing, and reading) for effective global collaboration. High degree of autonomy, proactivity, and reactivity. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical information, convince stakeholders, and synthesize findings.
