We are seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team as part of our ongoing growth, working on offshore projects. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with designers and engineers, deliver high-quality design services to clients, and gain valuable international experience with a leading consultancy.


The selected candidate will contribute to the design, review, and assessment of highway bridges.


Your role
  • Design, review, and assess highway bridges and related structures in line with British Standards, DMRB, Eurocodes, and AASHTO.
  • Deliver projects within set quality, time, and budget parameters.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical skills.
  • Follow AtkinsRéalis Quality, Safety & Environmental (QSE) standards and Company Management Standards (CMS).
About you
  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • 6–11 years of experience in bridge design and assessment.
  • Proficiency with bridge engineering software and MS Office.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with colleagues, team members, and clients.
  • Capability to understand, explain, and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience with bridge engineering software such as LUSAS, Autodesk Structural Bridge Design, RM-Bridge, or MIDAS Civil.
  • Familiarity with ProjectWise or Common Data Environment tools.
  • Understanding of international codes of practice.
  • Experience in technical report writing and presentations.
  • Background in structural assessment and detailed design of highway bridges.
