Job Description

HSE Data Specialist


The FLSmidth HSE Documentation and Data controlling team is being formed to support the Group’s compliance with ESG requirements and drive the Sustainability reporting process. As a HSE Data Specialist in the team, you will be working with a dedicated team on supporting the organization by ensuring high quality data to comply with sustainability assurance audits, ensuring accounting procedures and best practices are followed for good data reporting, and managing internal controls for data reporting to enhance data accuracy.


Your responsibilities
  • Conduct regular HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) data reviews for different sites.
  • Ensure data accuracy by checking / comparing reported values in the system against data evidence provided.
  • Monitor threshold deviation for different KPIs and ensure logical explanations justify reasons behind.
  • Empower reporters through trainings to ensure accounting procedures are followed for data reporting.
  • Meet deadlines for quarter and annual reports according to reporting timeline.
  • Provide and support accurate data for audits.
  • Keep track of system maintenance e.g., right units of measurement, report IT issues, access to new users, site management, etc.  
  • Update accounting procedures based on data reporting improvement and auditors’ comments.
  • Provide HSE data trend analysis and input for different business areas and reports.
What you bring
  • Knowledge and experience on HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) data reporting.
  • Experience in data accuracy by data review.
  • Structured and detailed-oriented mindset are required.
  • Experience on data analysis to identify trends, errors, and/or projections.
  • Knowledge on IT systems and reporting platforms is a plus.  
  • Experience and skills working with Power BI is a plus.
  • Good communication skills to drive stakeholder engagement.
