Our Indian Operations Centre (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2000+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision, and commissioning. Over the last decade, INOPC has evolved to become the largest engineering hub serving more than 40 countries across different energy sectors. The team caters to the four business units—Transformers, Grid Integration, Grid Automation, High Voltage and has successfully executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.


Mission Statement:


As a FST Leader for HVDC Control & Protection Engineering, you will join an aspiring team that works with the HVDC Power transmission links. It is a diverse and independent job, within our project groups, with lots of responsibility and you will have great opportunities to develop your skills within HVDC. Our department is responsible for delivering Control & Protection project of HVDC System. The key responsibilities include FST test setup, project team coordination, time schedule activity follow-up, resource cost utilization monitoring, material management, logistics management, stage gate check follow up, Design freeze coordination, safety management, testing quality assurance & audits, Follow-up testing progress and documentation, Client interaction during FAT and answering the queries and Close-out the project delivery.


Your Responsibilities:


  • Prepare the factory system test description and time schedule for the complete end to end delivery.


  • Execute the Factory system test as per the project contract delivery.


  • Follow the internal quality process & assurance and customer standards.


  • Ensure the test plan and testing procedure and process in place.


  • Ensure the material availability and initiate the procurement based future forecast.


  • Analysing the risk and opportunities towards the project delivery.


  • Coordinate with the experts of Control & protection design document results, validate the test results.


  • Preparation of Lab layout, cable schedule & termination details for FST integration setup.


  • Taking Initiative in engineering process optimizations, standardization etc.


  • Ensure the co-worker are trained in the process and safety norms.


  • Testing progress follow-up and manage the project schedule to complete as per the deadline.


  • Logistics coordination materials inwards / outwards to FST.


  • Closely interacting with project team and support the team for smooth execution of FST.


  • Maintaining the FST asset materials,participate in the internal audits as per the business process.


  • Ensure the material packing & unpacking are in correct method & standard. 


  • Monitor & track the hardware & software defects in the quality improvement tool.


  • Follow up the design changes and ensure the implementation.


  • Schedule the stage gate internal witness to prove the system stability and readiness.


  • Prepare the customs witness program and facilities to complete.


  • Follow up the customer witness report and close out the project delivery.


  • Training and developments of electrical assistant/technicians, managing test equipment including calibration & tracking.

Your Background:


  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical & Electronics Engineering or Equivalent with a minimum work experience of 6-10+ years in relay scheme preparation, validation of protection relays, settings.


  • Should have knowledge in AC Control & Protection schemes, relay testing, testing protocols.


  • Must have knowledge in Testing using Omicron secondary injection test kit.


  • Must have knowledge in Power System fundamentals, Relay module & cards, Interface part, Testing method, Safety Standards, Industrial product knowledge.


  • HVDC knowledge and experience is advantage.               


  • Exposure / Basic Knowledge in International electrical (IEEE/IEC) Standards.


  • Basic knowledge on software handling, simulation tools etc


  • Good knowledge of Office tools like word, excel, ppt .


  • Self-starter caliber who could own tasks through to completion.


  • Strong attention to detail.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
