The Fire Protection Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing fire protection systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with safety standards and utilizing engineering principles to create effective fire protection solutions. Responsibilities:

  4. Ensure compliance with local, state and national fire safety codes and standards.
  5. Create detailed design documentation including drawings, specifications and calculations.
  6. Collaborate with contractors and project managers during the installation and testing phases of fire protection systems.
  7. Stay updated with advancements in fire protection technologies and industry best practices.
  8. Provide technical support and expertise to resolve fire protection-related issues during construction or occupancy.
  9. Review shop drawings, material submittals and technical proposals related to fire protection systems.

Requirements:


  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. 7 to 8 years experience in fire protection system design and engineering.
  3. In-depth knowledge of fire safety codes, standards and regulations.
  4. Proficiency in relevant software tools used in fire protection design.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Good communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
  7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects & tenders simultaneously.
  8. Experience working on Middle East projects or familiarity with Middle East fire safety standards will be an added advantage.
