Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to join our Video engineering team with Gracenote. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain our internal and client-facing web applications. You will work closely with Product Managers, Architects, UX designers and other stakeholders to ensure applications are intuitive, responsive, reliable and optimized for business and operational needs.


Responsibilities


  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using React, Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build reusable frontend components and libraries for maximum interactivity and responsiveness.
  • Ensure application performance, quality and responsiveness across various devices and browsers.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into high-quality code.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: refactoring legacy code, optimizing page load times, and automating deployment pipelines.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for APIs, pipelines and architecture.

Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in Full-stack software engineering roles.
  • Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), Typescript and React.js. 
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java or Kotlin for developing scalable & maintainable Restful APIs and data processing applications.
  • Expertise in designing & building resilient APIs with Spring Boot framework.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL) and NoSQL (Elastic, MongoDB).
  • Experience with testing frameworks for both frontend (Jest, React Testing Library) and backend (JUnit, Mockito).
  • Experience with version control systems (Gitlab) and CI/CD practices

Preferred Skills


  • Familiarity with UI component libraries (Material UI, Ant Design) or CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Bootstrap) and build tools (Webpack).
  • Experience with Public Cloud (AWS preferred) & suite of Infra/Platform services.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Knowledge of data pipeline and orchestration (Airflow, AWS Step Functions)
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
