Full Stack Web Developer

Qualys (QLYS) is a cybersecurity company headquartered in Foster City, CA, USA. We have an opening for a full-stack web developer to join our Marketing team.

• Create interactive web pages using JavaScript and Svelte, for example, filtering functionality of content from a JSON data source, for example

• Create and update responsive web pages and HTML emails that look good both on desktop and mobile devices
• Primarily make updates to www.qualys.com but also make updates to sister websites
• Use git version control to track code changes
• Debug website using tools such as browser inspectors
• Communicate clearly (written and verbal)
• Have a high attention to detail
• Be a team player

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Must be strong in JavaScript and ReactJS or Svelte
• 3-5 years of experience building pages using git, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, responsive web development and REST
• 1+ years of experience building front-end web apps using Svelte
• Must have a portfolio of web projects, preferably of Svelte projects in GitHub so we can inspect your code
• Must pass a coding test

• (Bonus) Experience with AWS Lambda functions, Heroku, Photoshop, Tailwind CSS, static site generators, and Figma

• (Bonus) Experience with Handlebars JS or equivalent, WordPress, Github, Netlify, and PHP
• (Bonus) Experience with website animation, e.g. CSS transitions, JavaScript animation, Greensock JavaScript animation library
• (Bonus) Good sense of web page layout and design
